My life begins at 2.30 pm!

Posted on August 31, 2004June 30, 2005 by Surya

I dont sleep till 2.30 pm everyday – sadly I dont have that luxury and I have to get to work at 8.30am every morning. But its as good as not being alive. I am bored and listless and waiting for 2.30! And I check the clock every ten minutes..

Ok, the reason is kinda stupid, but spare me – dun laugh too hard. Theres a 6 hour time difference between Singapore and Amsterdam and Srijith comes to office at 8.30 in the morning and after that, I can talk to him anytime. The funny thing is I usually dont really talk to him while I am at work or even when I am at home, all that much. Its just both of us, doing our own things, thousands of miles apart. But its a funny comforting feeling – knowing that he is awake too and that I can mail him or call him or chat with him if need be…

Mebbe in a 100 years, when the distances between places on earth have converged to a near 0 – perhaps we can have the same time zones..So perhaps ppl in the American side can sleep in the day and the others on the Asian side can be awake at that time. Everyone does the same thing at the same time – it doesnt matter whether the sun is shining or the moon is…Perhaps..one day…!
