I have had my entire education in India, worked there for 5 long years, two of them after marriage. I was one of those who was completely against coming to US, but things change. I can say from experience as soon as I got married, I became useless for my company. They started believing that I can not be counted for deadlines or longer work. I was not given a good grade, I was not recommended for promotion. Guys who were youger than me got promoted just because they were staying late. I have been working in US since last one year now and the opportunities I have got here, I know for sure I will never get in India. These people have given me respect for the kind of person I am irrespective of my gender or marital status. Why should I go back to those who act like a frog pulling my leg because they could not achieve something. I have recently moved to US with my husband.
