Joey

Posted on March 16, 2005June 30, 2005 by Surya

I just watched the latest episode of Joey and its laughs and guffaws all the way. The series started started off slow, but I think after about the eleventh episode, the comedy really picks up. I was one of those who were skeptical when they canned Friends and started Joey. Afterall Chandler was my favourite. But, now I am converted and am a faithful follower. I even thought they are just copy-catting the way Frasier branched out from Cheers. I guess some great ideas deserve to be reused.

Joey is,as expected, exceptional. His character has been developed a lot more since Friends. He is a more all rounded, sweet guy, albeit still a bit dumb. Michael, Gina and Alex are all characters in their own right and after a few episodes, you really get into the whole thing. While they are at reusing ideas, I hope they bring in Chandler into one of the episodes (like they bring in Sam Malone into Frasier). After all, I don’t switch sides. At least not so fast.

Way to go, Joey!

This show started when we left the US last fall..I think I caught one episode, and wasn’t too impressed..if anything, Chandler should have gotten his own show

The first few episodes are not that great. But it definitely gets better after a while..
